Putin: Moscow is ready to host the talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as to help prepare the peace treaty

Moscow is ready to help reach the conclusion of a peace
treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan and can provide a platform for the talks.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said this.

“The peace treaty preparation is on the agenda. The treaty
will be aimed at settling the long-standing conflict. The Russian side is of
course ready to support its partners with regard to this matter to the best of
its abilities. For example, we can host talks in Moscow,” Putin said at the CIS
Council of Heads of State session held on Friday in Bishkek.

Putin noted that the talks can be held in any format, for
example in that of Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers and experts.

The Russian president also said that issues regarding the
Karabakh conflict and the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict in general were
addressed during his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held the
day before.
