Lithuania to transfer thermal power plant to Ukraine
In Lithuania, an entire thermal power plant is being dismantled for transfer to Ukraine, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said at a press conference with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrainian UNIAN news agency reports.
On Sept. 10, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that the Russian Armed Forces destroyed all thermal power plants that supplied electricity to Kharkiv.
On the morning of Sept. 20, Ursula von der Leyen visited Kyiv. She said she came to discuss European support and the progress of G7 lending.
The European Union will provide a loan of €35 billion as part of its support to Ukraine.
