Turkey-US trade turnover may reach $100 billion: Erdogan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a speech at a round table with representatives of think tanks at Turkevi Center (Turkish House) at the Turkish Embassy in New York, U.S., Ermenihaber writes.
Erdogan expressed his satisfaction with the recent positive developments in Turkish-American relations.
Referring to the trade turnover between the two countries, the Turkish leader said that in 2023 it amounted to $30 billion, and this year he expects it to reach $100 billion.
Erdogan stated that regardless of the results of the U.S. presidential elections scheduled for Nov. 5, Turkey will continue the high-level dialogue with the U.S.
He noted that during the last meeting on strategic mechanisms held between the two countries in March of this year, new negotiation mechanisms were created to discuss issues related to the fight against terrorism, military industry, energy and the environment.
