Assad forms new Syrian government
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has signed a decree on forming a new government, under which, in particular, the country’s foreign minister was changed, RIA Novosti writes, referring to the office of the President of Syria.
“President Bashar al-Assad signed a decree on forming a new government headed by Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali,” Assad’s office said.
A number of ministers have changed in the new government. Bassam Sabbagh, who was previously deputy foreign minister, is taking over as foreign minister instead of Faisal Mikdad.
