Alen Simonyan’s visit to Canada, even if it was made pursuant to a political agreement, is not acceptable for the Armenian community, Canadian-Armenian public figure and politician Zhan Halajian said in a conversation with ABC media.
Halajian noted that someone like Alen Simonyan, who does not live up to the expectations of the Diaspora, cannot visit them.
The Canadian Armenian community was also displeased with the fact that although the meeting had been planned with all the political forces of the Armenian Parliament, KP decided to go to Canada alone.
“Our community, especially our Hay Dat Committee and ARF Central Committee, issued a statement referring to the deep aspects of the issue. I am personally happy that Alen Simonyan is not welcome in Canada, that such a person will not come to Canada,” Halajian said.
