At least 30 people died, 17 were injured, and 24 people are still missing in a gas explosion in a mine in the South Khorasan province of eastern Iran.
At the time of the explosion, 69 miners were working at the site.
The explosion in the mine did not cause a fire; the methane emission in the tunnels caused people to suffocate.
