Putin: It was not Russia that abandoned Karabakh, but it was Armenia that intentionally recognized it as part of Azerbaijan

It was Armenia that abandoned Karabakh, and not Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said this in an annual press conference
today. 

“It was not Russia that abandoned Karabakh, but it was
Armenia that intentionally recognized it as part of Azerbaijan, without
informing Moscow,” Putin noted.
