Pope Francis has called for an end to tensions in Lebanon and bombings in Israel. On Wednesday, he addressed a large number of believers in the Vatican, calling for prayers for those suffering in all the world’s conflicts, including the Middle East, Ukraine, Myanmar and Sudan.
“I hope that the international community will make every effort to stop this terrible escalation. I express my support to the Lebanese people, who have already suffered too much in the recent past,” Pope Francis said.
To remind, Israel has been heavily bombing Lebanon, noting that its target is Hezbollah.
