Thousands of demonstrators demanded the immediate arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who arrived in New York for the U.N. General Assembly session.
The protest was carried out by the families of the hostages who had come to the U.S. to demand an urgent deal for the release of the kidnapped Israelis.
At least 25 demonstrators were reportedly arrested near the U.N. headquarters after they blocked the road of the Israeli prime minister’s motorcade.
