On the initiative of the Iranian side, a telephone conversation
was held between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Iranian Foreign
Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
The foreign ministers of the two countries exchanged ideas
on the current situation in the Middle East, focusing on the Israeli–Palestinian
conflict.
They discussed the situation in our region as well. The
ministers spoke in favor of the quick resumption of joint activities within the
“3+3” consultative regional platform for the South Caucasus.
They touched on a number of issues regarding bilateral
cooperation that will be in mutual interests.
