Alexey Klimov, head of the consular department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced that the issue of opening new foreign representations of Russia on the territory of Azerbaijan is currently being worked on at the political level. “Since the relevant agreements with the Azerbaijani side are being completed, the consular department will join in the implementation of relevant practical steps,” Klimov noted.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin announced that Moscow and Baku are discussing the issue of establishing Russian consulates in Azerbaijan.
