The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused the
Armed Forces of Israel of using white phosphorus munitions. The usage of the
latter is prohibited by international humanitarian law.
“The Israeli occupation forces have used internationally
prohibited white phosphorus munitions against Palestinians in the al-Karama
neighborhood in the Gaza Strip,” reads the statement issued by the Palestinian
Foreign Ministry.
