To settle the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, it is necessary
to apply the U.N. Security Council resolution regarding the creation of a
sovereign Palestinian state. Russian President Vladimir Putin said this during
his meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani.
The Russian president noted that the rapid escalation of the
situation in the Middle East is a vivid example of the failure of U.S.
politics.
“The United States was trying to monopolize the settlement
of the Middle East issues and did not care about getting concessions that would
be acceptable to everyone,” Putin said.
