France recognizes Hamas terrorist organization

France and the EU have recognized Hamas as a terrorist
organization. French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne said this in her speech in
the Senate. 

“Hamas is a terrorist organization; both France and the EU
consider it as such. There is no justification for terrorism and barbarism,”
Borne said. She noted that Paris is in favor of a peaceful resolution of the
conflict in the Middle East, “but it will take time”.
