Exodus from Stepanakert to Yerevan and her son’s advice not to cry
After Sept. 20, rumors were flying around in Artsakh about
the evacuation of the population. People were at a loss; there was no clear
decision. They were leaving whenever and however they managed. The feeling of
uncertainty made people leave Artsakh as soon as possible; some were simply
waiting. Tatevik Khachatryan with her five-year-old son and other family
members was among those waiting. And when the time came to leave, she did not
know what to take with her and what to leave. Now they are in Yerevan. The
report describes how they live now and how they are getting used to their new
life.
