Biden orders Pentagon to protect Trump as if he were incumbent president
U.S. President Joe Biden instructed the U.S. Department of Defense to help ensure Donald Trump’s security, as they would if he were the incumbent head of state.
“Look, I told the department to give him everything he needs as if he were the incumbent president,” Biden said in the White House in response to the press questions as to whether the Pentagon would comply with the Republican campaign’s wishes to provide military equipment and aircraft during the election campaign.
Biden also joked that the military equipment requested by Trump’s entourage will be provided “unless it is F-15 fighter jets.”
