Armenia joins statement of countries condemning attacks on UN Interim Force in Lebanon

Thirty-four countries supporting the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), including Armenia, issued a joint statement calling for respect for the U.N. peacekeeping mission and to ensure the safety of its personnel, Poland in the UN X account said in a post.

The signatories reaffirmed their support for the UNIFIL mission to bring stability and peace to southern Lebanon.

A joint statement initiated by Poland condemned incidents of attacks on peacekeepers, noting that such actions should be stopped immediately and be adequately investigated.

According to Ani Badalyan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the number of countries that have joined the statement has reached 40.
