Spokesperson for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that international relations, which are based on the dictates of one country over another, are not accepted by many states today.
“BRICS is a much more democratic association that offers absolutely equal, mutually respectful interaction and cooperation, and this makes it even more attractive, especially in the current situation, when more and more countries are inclined to the need to build relations in a new way.” Peskov said in response to the journalists’ question as to why the West is afraid of BRICS.
The official added that the BRICS summit to be held in Kazan from Oct. 22 to Oct. 24, will become one of the main events of the international agenda.
