One of the main problems of Israel is to disrupt the work of Iran’s rocket industry. The talks about the return of the U.S. to the Iran Nuclear Deal after its withdrawal in 2018 were no coincidence. One of the conditions set by the U.S. was to limit the activities of the rocket industry, Arabologist Armen Petrosyan said today at Genesis Armenia during a discussion titled “Conflict situation in the Middle East: Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Iran”.
“And what was the reason? It is very clear for the U.S. and Israel. Regardless of the level of effectiveness, imagine that some of the 200 missiles produced by Iran have nuclear warheads. If Iran creates such missiles and launches them into Israel, that country will simply disappear. Or can you imagine how many states will be damaged before it reaches Israel? It may cause a regional disaster,” the expert said.
According to Petrosyan, developed defense systems are not a very effective way to manage and control the region. Diplomacy is the main deterrent, as well as the geopolitical military balance.
“If it wasn’t for the Israel-U.S. alliance, believe me, Israel could not solve any problem in the region. In fact, Israel does not have that many natural resources to fight against Iran,” Petrosyan concluded.
