Armenia and Azerbaijan agree on 16 points
Armenia and Azerbaijan are about to reach an agreement on the establishment of peace, National Assembly President Alen Simonyan said, speaking at the general discussions of the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Geneva.
“When the peace process began in earnest months ago, Azerbaijan wanted our agreement on five internationally recognized points. I am happy to inform you that today we have reached an agreement on 16 points,” Simonyan said, according to the NA Public Relations Department.
“The time has come to establish peace. The time for peace is now.
“We are calling on Azerbaijan to show political will, seize the moment and join us in making the possible a reality.
Armenia is ready to sign a peace treaty even today,” Simonyan said.
