The issue of the impeachment of Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili will be raised at the end of the year, 1tv TV Channel reports, citing Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
“The presidential institution is an independent constitutional institution, and we always follow the rules. Unfortunately, they are not followed by the forces that we call the global war party,” Kobakhidze said. He clarified that by saying “independence,” the representatives of the “party” mean dependence on them, and they have tried to gain influence in Georgia as well.
“Due to the weakness of Salome Zourabichvili, they managed to do all this very easily. It also implies certain material benefits. I don’t mean money, but material benefit, about which, when the time comes, we can speak more boldly,” Kobakhidze said.
