Zelenskyy first presents ‘victory plan’
In a speech in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly presented his “victory plan” for the first time.
The key points, according to Zelenskyy, are:
-Ukraine should receive an invitation to NATO now.
-A strengthening of its own military production and an increase in aid from Western partners.
-Strategic containment package: deployment of non-nuclear means of defense against Russia on the territory of Ukraine.
-Economic pressure: capping oil prices and exports to increase pressure on Russia.
-Experienced military contingent: After the conflict, Ukraine will have one of the most experienced armies, which will become the guarantor of Europe’s security.
In his speech, Zelenskyy added that the second, third and fourth points of his plan have secret provisions that are not subject to publication but have been submitted to Ukraine’s partners for review.
