The Netherlands allows Ukraine to use the F-16 fighter jets it has supplied to attack Russian military facilities, Ruben Brekelmans, the country’s defense minister, said at the meeting of NATO defense ministers.
Brekelmans noted that the first batch of the F-16s delivered to Kyiv is already being used in the airspace of Ukraine.
“We have always said that Ukraine must comply with international law, but international law does not contain any restrictions on distance,” the minister said.
Brekelmans noted that the international law does not limit the right to use airplanes both at the border and a hundred kilometers beyond it.
