Financial Times: Post-election clashes in Georgia are inevitable

Clashes and riots are “almost inevitable” in Georgia after the parliamentary election, as both the authorities and the opposition expect victory, the British service of the Financial Times writes.
“Both the authorities and the opposition alliance say they are on the way to victory, making a clash over the results absolutely inevitable,” the newspaper writes.

Before this, Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili had announced that if the ruling Georgian Dream–Democratic Georgia party wins the upcoming parliamentary election, she may be sent to prison. This is how the president answered the journalist’s question as to what would happen if the ruling party won.
