Iran and Turkey wishing to impose arms embargo against Israel
Iran and Turkey continue to negotiate with some countries on establishing an arms embargo against Israel, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said.
“We have discussed the issue of introducing an arms embargo at the level of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Negotiations continue with a number of other Islamic countries, including our country and Turkey, with the aim of limiting the supply of weapons to the Zionist regime,” Baghaei said at a press conference.
According to him, Iran hopes that as many countries as possible will join this campaign so that Israel “cannot use the weapons transferred to it to continue the genocide in Gaza and Lebanon.”
