Vote recount to be conducted in some polling stations in Georgia

The Central Electoral Commission of Georgia will verify the results of the parliamentary elections at some polling stations.

Officials working in the electoral commissions of the administrative districts will count the ballots in the five precincts of each district. Places are randomly assigned by drawing lots. Counting of votes will start today at 12:00 p.m. in the regions, and at 5:00 p.m. in Tbilisi. The relevant bodies will control the counting of ballots.

To remind, the ruling Georgian Dream party collected 53.93% of the votes. These results were not accepted by any of the four opposition forces that have won seats in Parliament, their supporting NGOs and the president of Georgia.
