Hezbollah has new secretary general

Sheikh Naim Qassem, Hezbollah’s deputy secretary-general, has been appointed as the organization’s new leader.

The movement’s statement says the decision to appoint Qassem was made by the Shura Council, Hezbollah’s main governing body.
