Israel’s agreement to a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon could influence Iran’s decision to strike back at the Jewish state after its Oct. 26 attack, IRNA news agency writes, referring to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
“They know very well that if they do anything wrong against the Islamic Republic of Iran, they will receive a crushing response. Only a review of their behavior, an agreement to a ceasefire, and the killing of innocent people in the region can influence how and with what intensity we will respond,” Pezeshkian said.
He placed all responsibility for the escalation of tensions in the region on Israel, which “despite [Tehran’s] restraint and the calls from some countries, has continued its crimes and expanded the scope of its aggression.”
