If the BRICS summit had taken place 20 years ago, it would not have been important news, but now the share of these countries in the world economy exceeds that of the Western countries, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said.
“The Eastern World Summit was held in Kazan one week ago. BRICS includes China, Russia, Brazil, India, South Africa. The list has now expanded; there are more than 10 countries, and they all met in Kazan. This is the economy of the Eastern world. Twenty years ago, this was not important news, but now the share of these countries in terms of global economic indicators is greater than that of the Western world,” Orbán said.
