International press: Is Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential elections beneficial or detrimental to Armenians?

Traditionally, Democrat candidates have pushed for Armenian causes, such as recognition of Armenian genocide. This has generally been enough for Armenians, like many other minority American groups, to nod their heads and go along with the empty promises of the liberal platform. But Armenian-Americans seem to be breaking for Donald Trump, Blaze Media writes. The article emphasized the significance of Armenia with regard to the Western hegemony in the region.

It is noted that Armenia is the lone obstacle standing in the way of Turkey’s pursuit of establishing a pan-Turanic land and sea bridge.

“That is why the Azeris just cleaned out 120,000 Armenians from their ancestral homeland with military force. It’s why the traitorous, globalist Armenian government is pushing to ‘normalize’ relations between itself and Turkey and Azerbaijan. And yes, it’s even why Iran considers Armenia’s territorial integrity a ‘red line’ that it would not tolerate Azerbaijan breaching,” Blaze Media writes. According to the author, if Donald Trump becomes president, there will be a real opportunity to ward off this threat.

Eurasianet writes that Baku is openly rooting for a Donald Trump win in the Nov. 5 presidential vote in the United States. Aliyev said, “During President Trump’s presidency, we enjoyed very fruitful cooperation based on mutual respect and appreciation of each other’s support on different tracks.” Aliyev’s stance has not changed in recent days, even though Trump, hoping to win battleground states, especially Michigan, has made attempts to solicit Armenian-American votes by citing the Artsakh Armenian exodus of 2023. But as noted, the second Armenian-Azerbaijan war over Karabakh began in 2020 when Trump was president. His administration did little at the time to foster a ceasefire.
