CIS Security Council meeting to take place in Moscow under Shoigu’s chairmanship
The 12th annual meeting of the secretaries of the Security Councils of the CIS member states will be held in Moscow. The meeting will be chaired by Sergei Shoigu, secretary of Russia’s Security Council, the press service of Russia’s Security Council reports.
“Shoigu will deliver a report on the current situation in international, regional and national security and inform about the work done in fighting challenges and threats to the CIS,” reads the message.
The secretaries of the Security Councils of the CIS countries, CIS General Secretary Sergey Lebedev, CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov, Armenian Ambassador to Russia Gurgen Arsenyan and Marcel Tsenusha, representative of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova, will attend the meeting. According to Shoigu, the participants will discuss a wide range of issues related to threats to the cooperation of the CIS countries.
