Moscow expects that after the meeting held in Turkey on Oct. 18, the work of the 3+3 format (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia – Russia, Turkey, and Iran) will be activated, Sergei Shoigu, secretary of Russia’s Security Council, said at a meeting of the secretaries of the CIS Security Councils.
“In the South Caucasus, we have done and continue to do our best to strengthen the 3+3 consultative regional platform. We expect that after the meeting of the ministers in Istanbul, the work of this mechanism will be activated,” Shoigu said.
