There are still important points that need to be agreed upon: Bayramov on peace treaty with Armenia

The main points of the draft peace treaty with Armenia have been agreed upon, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told reporters.

“I do not want to give numbers at the moment, but there are still important points that need to be agreed upon,” Bayramov noted. According to him, the Azerbaijani side is determined to bring the negotiations with Armenia to a conclusion.

“This process depends on both parties,” the Azerbaijani foreign minister noted, adding that in order to ensure the inclusiveness of COP29, Azerbaijan has sent invitations to both member parties of the Convention and to Armenia.

“Despite the fact that Armenia has registered several representatives to participate in the conference, we cannot see their participation in COP29. We believe this is a missed opportunity for them,” Bayramov stated.
