Referring to Azerbaijani president’s statement regarding the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that Russia was also dissatisfied with the group’s work.
“We have criticized it more, especially as Western countries began to obstruct its activities. The positive things that existed within the Minsk Group largely relied on Russian efforts, which were also reflected in the trilateral agreements and highly valued by both capitals. That group has been buried by the Westerners. It became clear that they were not inclined toward resolution, but rather toward politicization and advancement of their own interests,” Zakharova noted.
