The New York Times reports that Donald Trump’s close adviser Elon Musk met with Iranian Ambassador to the U.N. Amir Saeed Iravani on Monday in New York City. According to the Iranian sources of the newspaper, the issue of how to ease the tension between Iran and the U.S. was discussed.
The sources said the meeting between Musk and Iravani lasted more than an hour and was secret. They described the meeting as “positive” and “good news.”
When asked if there was such a meeting, Steven Cheung, Political Adviser to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, said: “We do not comment on reports of private meetings that have or have not taken place.”
