Frank Pallone: I’ll continue to fight for Armenia’s territorial sovereignty and the release of Armenian prisoners

American Congressman Frank Pallone made an X post about his visit to Azerbaijan and subsequent events related to COP29. “Despite Aliyev organizing violent protests to prevent me, Senator Markey and others from participating in COP29, I’ll continue to fight for Armenia’s territorial sovereignty, the release of Armenian prisoners and a peace deal that brings calm to the region,” Pallone noted.

To remind, American Congressman Frank Pallone left Azerbaijan because of the negative attitude toward him there.

Pallone had arrived in Baku to participate in COP29. On Nov. 16, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev hosted a group of American congressmen, but Pallone was not allowed to attend the meeting. The congressman had previously visited Artsakh and called for sanctions against Baku.

On Nov. 17, a group of pro-government Azerbaijani civil society organizations held a protest outside the Park Boulevard hotel where the congressman was staying, demanding accountability for his “anti-Azerbaijani activities.”
