Iranian foreign minister: Preparing for war prevents it
During a meeting with the leadership of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called for preparations against a potential outbreak of large-scale armed conflict to demonstrate strength to adversaries, TASS reports.
“Preparing for war prevents it. If you want to avert it, you must show your strength and declare your readiness for war and defense. This will prevent war. If you show even the slightest weakness, indicating that you are not prepared for confrontation, war will be imposed upon you,” Araghchi stated.
“We have declared that the recent actions of the Israeli regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran are yet another act of aggression. The ‘True Promise’ and ‘True Promise 2’ operations were defensive in nature. The new aggression from the Israeli regime deserves a response. We have not renounced our right to respond. We will choose the time for this and will respond as we see fit,” the diplomat added.
