Pentagon: The US had received an advance notice from Russia about Oreshnik missile launch intention

The United States was given a prior notice by Russia regarding the launch of a ballistic missile without a nuclear warhead into Ukrainian territory, according to Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh.

“The United States was warned shortly before the launch through channels aimed at reducing nuclear risk,” Singh stated during a press briefing on Nov. 21.

The Pentagon representative also noted that the launch of a new ballistic missile by Russia “certainly worries us.”
