Viktor Orbán: Conflict in Ukraine has reached its ‘darkest hour’

The world is currently experiencing its most turbulent times, but hope for a resolution rests with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump from the Republican Party, who will be able to take action after his upcoming inauguration, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said.

“It is now the darkest hour, but it is always dark before any dawn,” the head of the Hungarian government said.

He noted that Trump has expressed a willingness to seek a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine.

“If the United States withdraws its support from Ukraine, European countries will not be able to support it on their own,” Orbán added.
