Iran and Azerbaijan begin joint 4-day military exercises
Joint ground military exercises titled “Ares Joint Exercise” have commenced today in the border city of Aslan Duz in Iran’s Ardabil Province, involving the Islamic Republic of Iran and Azerbaijan.
The exercises will last for four days and include special forces from both countries.
The objectives of the exercises are to strengthen relations between the two countries, jointly combat illegal armed organizations, enhance border security, increase military capabilities, improve defense capacities, and expand defense cooperation at operational and tactical levels.
