Aliyev and Trump hold phone conversation

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev have had a telephone conversation at the initiative of the Azerbaijani side.

Aliyev congratulated Trump on his victory in the elections. The Azerbaijani president noted that the decisive victory in the elections is a clear expression of the strong support and trust of the American people in the political line they pursue.

Aliyev noted that Trump’s actions will play an even more important role in ensuring global security. He expressed hope that joint efforts will be made to enhance bilateral relations between Baku and Washington.
