Zhuravlyov: The West is trying to ‘entice’ Armenia and ‘disrupt’ the situation in Central Asia
Anti-Russian provocations and aggression can be expected in any direction, Russian State Duma member Aleksey Zhuravlyov told RIA Novosti.
According to him, Russia’s obligations within the CSTO alliance imply that all possible actions will be taken to protect its allies in the event of an attack on them.
“Such a thing has never happened before, but the situation in the world is so tense now that we cannot exclude anti-Russian provocations on any front,” Zhuravlyov noted.
According to him, the West is trying with all its might to “entice” Armenia, “disrupt” the situation in Central Asia, and is also “encircling” Belarus. In this context, the deputy believes that the Western aggression is primarily directed against Russia.
