Ovechchuk: The economic growth rates in CIS countries exceed the global average

The GDP growth rates of the CIS member countries significantly outpace the global average, reaching 4.2 percent during the first nine months of 2024, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Ovechchuk told reporters.

Ovechchuk said such figures indicate the effectiveness of the economic model of cooperation being implemented within the Commonwealth. He noted that it is this system that enables CIS member countries to actively develop.

“The trade turnover between our countries is also growing. Over the past six months, it has increased by 6.7%, which is also a very good indicator,” the Russian deputy prime minister said.
