Fidan and Blinken discuss situation in Syria during phone call
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had a telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, focusing on the situation in Syria.
“Fidan stated that Turkey opposes any developments that could exacerbate instability in the region and, in this context, advocates for a reduction of tensions. He noted that the political process must conclude with the establishment of peace in Syria. He also noted that Turkey will never allow terrorist actions against its own citizens and the civilian population of Syria,” the source said.
It was also noted that the conversation covered issues related to Ukraine, the South Caucasus, and Gaza.
