Iranian foreign minister: Iran was aware of US and Israeli plans

Iran has been aware of U.S. and Israeli plans related to the activation of armed opposition groups in Syria, with all intelligence communicated to the Syrian government, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in a special interview with Iranian State Television.

“Everything was clear. Both the analyses and the intelligence reports indicated in advance that such a movement would arise. From both an analytical and intelligence perspective, we knew that there was a covert plan by the U.S. and the Israeli regime. Special services in our country and in Syria were fully aware of the opposition movements. All information has been communicated to the Syrian government and the Syrian army,” Araghchi stated.
