CIS representatives discuss strategic stability
Representatives of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) discussed the issue of strategic stability during the latest meeting of the Joint Advisory Commission on Disarmament, noting the negative dynamics in this area, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, after the meeting held in Moscow.
“There was a broad exchange of views on issues of strategic stability, emphasizing the factors influencing the negative dynamics in this area,” the ministry stated.
Russia also informed its partners about the crisis situation that has developed in the OSCE Security Cooperation Forum related to attempts to undermine the principle of consensus, which is fundamental to the OSCE.
Representatives from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, and the CIS Executive Committee attended the meeting as observers.
