Hamas reports ‘unprecedented progress’ in hostage negotiations
Hamas and Israel have made “unprecedented progress” in negotiations regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages, Ynet writes, referring to an anonymous senior member of the organization.
A Hamas representative stated that the parties are currently discussing the number of hostages to be released as part of the deal. According to him, disagreements remain regarding who will be included in the release.
The source added that the final decision rests with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
