Iranian ambassador to Syria: Iranian Embassy in Syria will soon reopen

The new authorities in Syria are ready to allow Iran to resume the operations of its embassy in Damascus.

“We are discussing the return of our consulate, and we will immediately begin our activities,” Iranian Ambassador to Syria Hossein Akbari said.

According to Akbari, it was logical to travel to Beirut for 2–3 days to avoid any issues.

“We hope that the embassy in Syria will begin its work soon,” Akbari added.
