Galuzin: Russia hopes Pashinyan will attend the CIS leaders’ informal meeting

Russia hopes that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, like everyone invited, will attend the informal meeting of the CIS leaders to be held in late December in Saint Petersburg, RIA Novosti reports, referring to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.

“Everyone has been invited, and today is still Dec. 16… We hope that all those invited, including Nikol Pashinyan, will come to Saint Petersburg. We hope, but it remains to be seen what will happen,” Galuzin said.

To remind, on Dec. 13, Nikol Pashinyan made an official visit to Moscow to attend a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Vladimir Putin had invited Pashinyan to the informal summit of CIS leaders to be held in Saint Petersburg on Dec. 25-26.
