Macron and Erdoğan hold phone conversation

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and French President Emmanuel Macron have had a telephone conversation. The sides discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues.

Erdoğan emphasized the importance of protecting Syria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty and expressed satisfaction regarding France’s decision to reopen its embassy in Syria. He also addressed the issue of Syrian refugees.
